The fabric uses antique Kantha blankets (up-cycled old saris and lunghis hand-embroidered with a fine rice stitch) sourced from all over India, then textile expert, Santosh Rathi, creates them in Jaisalmer with a traditional Suzani pattern in cotton thread. Stunning. The level of detail in this fabric is absolutely bonkers, the nicest embroidery work I've been fortunate enough to hold in hand. The shape is a simple boxy fit jacket with three front patch pockets and Kardo's signature single contrasting button.
