The fabric uses antique Kantha blankets (up-cycled old saris and lunghis hand-embroidered with a fine rice stitch) sourced from all over India, then textile expert, Santosh Rathi, creates them in Jaisalmer with a traditional Suzani pattern in cotton thread. Stunning. Each piece is made by one person from start to finish. Simple in shape with adjustable shoulder strap, one main zipped compartment and two smaller front pockets for sundries.
