Immense piece of amalgamation going on here, taking the iconic MA-1 bomber jacket that was constructed in Nylon originally and adding design elements of the British MK-3 jacket used by the RAF in the same decade, that was made of gabardine and Ventile. The result being a short bomber with nylon body and cotton sleeves, collar, yoke and hood. Instead of the flare survival orange lining of the MA-1 - for the intention of turning inside out and attracting attention in case of rescue - they have opted for a darker burnt orange that makes for a warmer contrast. Hood can be packed away.
