PAPA NUI HEMINGWAY CAP - OLIVE
The Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway was a war correspondent with the 4th Army throughout 1944 in France and then into Germany. It is well known that during this time he coordinated with French resistance to enter Paris and legend has it that he liberated the Ritz hotel and was sipping champagne when the Allies arrived. It is also suspected that during the campaign in the Hürtgen Forest in Germany his quick response with a Thompson machine gun alerted the Command Post to a enemy attack which was then swiftly beaten back.
During his downtime Ernest loved to fly fish and so here’s the cap he had made out of available GI materials that was based on those ample visored styles he wore at home casting for Steelhead in the Big Hearted River In Michigan.
