Wow. Every now and again a jacket comes along that I begin to covet on first viewing. Sometimes when a piece has so many elements going on it can look busy or over-egged, not in this instance. The basis is a varsity jacket, with green cord used all over, striped shawl collar and cuffs and white leather trims like the originals. Yet it has some stud-fastened vintage hunting jacket bellow pockets out front; and twin zipped stash pockets that are hidden between expertly bar-tacked seams. The details keep on going, with zips on the bottom hem for comfort if needed, off-centre buttons up top and a remarkable printed contrast lining that is as nice as the exterior, showcasing a lined inside pocket and satin sleeve linings. Sheesh. God I wish it fit me.
