The OG-107 Utility Pants (commonly known as Baker Pants) were issued to the US military in the 1950s and 1970s. They have been updated to the silhouette of the popular standard wide chino pants while retaining functional details such as large pockets. Starting this season, adjustable belts have been added to both sides of the waist for a more comfortable fit. The OG in the OG-107 design stands for olive green, and the number is said to be 107, the colour code for the US military. At the time, they were called utility pants because they were worn for a wide range of purposes, including training and work other than combat. There are various theories about why they were called baker pants, including that they were worn by bakers, and that the front patch pocket looks like a loaf of bread.
