The first denim jacket from Buzz Rickson and with good reason too, during the second World war when everything was being produced under austerity measures, so too was this version akin to a Type 1 model. Like many garments at the time, edits had to be made; on this particular garment the pocket flaps have been removed and the buttons culled from 5 to 4. in addition the whole jacket is fractionally shorter. Some lovely details are still there such as the arabesque donut buttons, selvedge material and of course, the pleats; for movement and middle aged spread. The whole piece is made in a perfect denim weight of 13.6 ounce, arguably wearable most of the year round.
